She also explained that a classroom strategic goal is also known as a “SMART” goal.

A classroom strategic goal indicates a learning target for a group of students that spans an entire school year. It specifies when the goal must be met and how it will be measured.
Since fluency and accuracy are an important aspect of reading to support comprehension for all children, a strategic goal was created to address this Common Core Standard. The following example was crafted for the students and posted in the room.
